Wimpy came into his AQHA P-1 status by winning the Ft. Worth TX show in 1941. AQHA had decided to gift the P-1 in the upcoming foundation Stud Books to the Grand Champion of the show. No other records exist of Wimpy ever being shown in any other AQHA event.
